In this first activity of the Transformative Care for Invasive Mold Infections: Strategies that Make a Difference in Patient Outcomes initiative, Dr Chadi Hage presents a case illustrating the diagnosis and management of a mediastinal mass post lung transplantation. As we move through the stages of the case, Dr Hage shares the critical care/pulmonary perspective on management, while the additional faculty provide the infectious diseases and microbiologic perspectives. The pre-test and posttest questions will allow you to benchmark your practices and evaluate your institutional barriers to appropriate care of patients with IFD in the critical care setting. We hope you find this text- and video-based content helpful as you strive to achieve the optimal, multidisciplinary care of patients with invasive fungal disease.
