FungusCME.org is the official continuing education site of the collaboration of the Mycoses Study Group Education & Research Consortium; the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Center for Continuing Education;  and Terranova Medica, below you will find information on each of the partner entities involved.

 

The University of Nebraska Medical Center, Center for Continuing Education, the Mycoses Study Group Educational Committee, and Terranova Medica, LLC have been collaborating on CME initiatives since 2009.

About the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Center for Continuing Education (Accredited Provider)
The UNMC Center for Continuing Education is one of this country's oldest accredited providers of continuing education to physicians and is accredited by the ACCME. The Center offers a broad range of programming ranging from primary care issues to the latest developments in oncology and draws attendees from throughout the region, nation and internationally. UNMC-CCE sponsors nearly 300 activities annually that reach approximately 22,000 healthcare providers. Through its outreach program to rural communities, UNMC-CCE brings the latest medical knowledge to healthcare practitioners in Nebraska and the surrounding states.

Accreditation
The University of Nebraska Medical Center, Center for Continuing Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Mycoses Study Group Education & Research Consortium

 

About the Mycoses Study Group Education & Research Consortium
The Mycosis Study Group Educational Committee (MSG-EC) is a committee within the MSG that is  dedicated to education in the area of mycoses. This group’s mission is to set the educational agenda for mycology and provide top-quality continuing education initiatives to MSG member institutions and other institutions throughout the United States. The MSG-EC will serve as the content development committee for this initiative and will also aid in the distribution as well as the outcomes research components. The MSG-EC has successfully delivered live and web-based activities in 2010, 2011, and 2012.

 

Terranova Medica, LLC

 

About Terranova Medica, LLC
Terranova Medica, LLC is a medical education company whose mission is to deliver high-quality educational initiatives to meet the needs of the healthcare professional, with a special emphasis on interactive, e-Learning in infectious diseases/hematology oncology.  Terranova has partnered with the MSG in developing CME activities since 2009. In addition, Terranova has successfully launched several live, web-based, and multimedia activities in infectious disease and oncology, led  a PI initiative in GU oncology, and delivered several initiatives in multiple sclerosis. More recently, Terranova has also helped a research consortium finalize their research on a pediatric melanoma registry, with the results to be published shortly in Cancer. Terranova’s founder and president, Lisa A. Tushla, PhD (formerly Faltyn) founded PharmAdura, LLC in 2003 and was instrumental in taking the company through the accreditation process. It is in this context that Lisa worked on the highly successful Front-Line Fungus initiative as well as Mycosis Study Group programs, among other oncology and infectious disease topics. Subsequent to her work at PharmAdura, Lisa honed her skills in eCME, hematologic malignancies, and advanced outcomes at Quest MedEd, which launched the highly successful, multidisciplinary curriculum “Multiple Myeloma: Translating Learning Into Care: What’s Best” series. This series was recently awarded the Alliance for Continuing Education’s 2010 award for Outstanding Enduring Material. Terranova is pleased to be working with the Mycoses Study Group on these exciting initiatives.
